It comes in five trims: the 3-door L and LE and the 5-door L, LE, and SE. Each boasts fuel efficiency, halogen head lamps, full audio connectivity via USB and auxiliary ports, and top-of-the-line safety features. Optional features include HD radio, remote keyless entry, six speakers, upgraded interior and Bluetooth® connectivity. The top-of-the-line Yaris SE promises even more driving fun thanks to a sport-tuned suspension 16'' alloy wheels, a dynamic instrumentation package facing and leather-trimmed tilt three-spoke steering wheel. Outside, the Yaris SE also shows off a color-keyed front grille, rear underbody spoilers, rear spoiler and diffuser, and a chrome exhaust tip.
The 2012 Toyota Yaris has more safety features than earlier versions. All models come standard with nine airbags, including a knee airbag for the driver and roll-sensing airbags for the front and rear seats. Other safety equipment includes anti-lock brakes, electronic brake-force distribution and brake assist. Toyota's Smart Stop Technology, which reduces engine power when the brakes and accelerator are pressed at the same time, is also standard.
